It was a good stay. The hotel is starting to show its age (older furniture, outdated bathroom fixtures etc), but it was still a very nice experience. The lobby is gorgeous and it truly feels grand. Breakfast was excellent, our room was in a quiet part of the building so sleeping in silence vs hearing traffic was great. Location of the hotel is wonderful, super close to Vienna Opera house and central city. Would stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. The room was spotless. The staff were so helpful. The location was unbeatable. I had lunch here on my last day, and it was delicious. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Would recommend it wholeheartedly and would definitely stay here again on my return to Vienna. Thank you.

This is a beautiful old hotel centrally located in the inner Stadt that has been beautifully updated giving a sense of old Vienna but with a younger modern feel. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and our room large and comfortable with nice amenities including bathrobes, slippers etc. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and the bathroom was spacious, with good lighting, large towels and nice amenities. The only fly in the ointment was the lack of hot water for 12 hours during our stay, the small pastry left with the note of apology didn’t really seem adequate for the cold shower. We ate at 2 of the restaurants in the hotel and our dinner the last night before our departure proved to be one of the best meals of our trip which included several Michelin starred restaurants. The service, presentation, and quality of the food delivered was world class. The wine selection is superb and my wife and I left feeling this restaurant needs to be on a todo list if visiting Vienna. Other than the hot water issue we would stay at this beautiful property again

Location is fabulous ! But the staff were off, not enough towels for the 3 of us in the room, empty shower gel / hand soap & conditioner were empty we asked for more towels and for the above to be filled on several occasions. The breakfast is €48, it’s REALLY not worth it at all. very limited choices. For a 5* hotel we expected better. We have stayed at a Eurostar hotel in several locations previously and they were very good.

It is a fine hotel but it needs a renovation. Showers that require a step ladder to get into. The lobby needs a major facelift. Both restaurants closed on Sunday (even for Europe, that’s subpar for a 5 star hotel). That said, the staff was outstanding. Front desk and housekeeping especially.
