"Reception staff professional,friendly and helpful.Paola and Allesandro were wonderful.. thanks for the many tips. Thanks also to Louisa in the breakfast room very attentive ,welcoming and friendly...remembered guests names! We thoroughky enjoyed a few hours rekaxing in hot tub and terrace late afternoon after a day exploring. We made use of the hotel bicycles to get around the city and tour the wall pathway..fab! The lunchtime nibbles and refreshments were much aporeciated Third visit to Lucca and onky discovered hotel.illaria..we will return! Ann and Carol( Glasgow,Scotland)"

"I found the hotel was very handy with the 24 hour desk especially as flight was delayed and missed the last train to Lucca and had to get a taxi. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and airy. Would highly recommend"

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa with our three teenagers. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, we were looking for a few quiet, relaxing days, and this was exactly what we needed. We loved slowing down, lounging by the pool, and enjoying the peaceful pace. The two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family of five, with two gorgeous bedrooms, a spacious living area, and excellent air conditioning. The pool was incredibly refreshing on hot summer days, and the villa was close enough to Lucca that we could easily get taxis into town. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options and the best cappuccinos I had in Italy! The true highlight, though, was the hosts. They were warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We also loved the light lunch options by the pool and appreciated that they could arrange pizza delivery in the evening, along with wine and beer available on-site. We had an amazing few days relaxing at the villa and exploring Lucca. Highly recommend!"

"This is the quirkiest hotel I have ever stayed in. It has the feel and decor of a 16th Century fortified town house combined with crazy art and ornaments. The staff were super helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved the honesty bar and the rooftop beer garden. Loads of great little shops and restaurants inside and outside the city walls and as ever friendly cats all over the place. Breakfast was great and you can help yourself to the homemade cakes, the real hit is the spinach quiche. Ssh it's a gem, don't tell everyone 😉"

"Roberta is so helpful throughout our stay. She drove us to the bus stop when we couldn’t get a taxi. Their saying is “come as a tourist, go as a friend” is definitely true. We highly recommend Il Linchetto and it is 10 stars out of 5."
