"Great location, but you may be stepping on spongy floorboards, and the temperature is controlled by one big unit. The old chandeliers in the dining room are amazing but you have to ask them to turn them on for a thrill. Breakfast buffet lackluster, but what do you want? It's cheap by today's standards."

"I was really disappointed with my stay here. Although the room was ready early, before the check in time, the room looked nothing like those in the photos. It was tiny, dark, cramped and spartan (just a sheet on the bed). Limited towels and the toilet was leaking over the floor. The WiFi signal was so weak I could not connect to it in the room, when asked reception they just said there was no problem with it. The male receptionist was bordering on rude when he asked for our key back to keep at reception. The bed was comfortable enough but with only a sheet, it was not a very comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was extremely poor also. We had to ask for butter (as there was one left), knives (as there were none) and there was next to no choice with still half an hour of breakfast left. I could not wait to leave, will not be back, and would not recommend. "

"We booked the Aqua Suite on the second floor. Super quiet street, short walk to shops and restaurants. Suite was spacious and super clean. Liked the little balcony to sit out with a drink. We didn’t personally meet any staff, all was handled via WhatsApp messages. But they were very accommodating to our special requests. The only complaint: given the location in the old town, there is no public transport taking you there. The hotel arranged transport from the airport to the hotel for 30 Euros. A bit steep for the short distance. If you have it in you and travel light, it’s about a 12-15 minute walk to/from the train station. And there is a direct bus between the train station and the airport, for 1,20 Euros. Linea AP runs every 30 minutes…"

"When I was an emergency medical disembarkation from the MSC Armonia, I asked the awesome staff at MSC Cares for the cleanest hotel possible close to the ER in case I had to return. Hotel Bastione was quite rightly at the top of the list they sent me. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, and I used to clean hotel rooms. I am blown away by their incredible staff & not just the amazing cleaning. Everyone consistently went above & beyond to help me in an impossible time. Gracious, knowledgeable, fantastic advocates for Brindisi. They found cabs for me, ordered food, helped me with logistics, planned out routes for me. The breakfast was amazing with lots of healthy options, fresh fruit, and lean proteins (plus specialty baked goods). Incredible value at a central location with the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever seen and a staff that’s somehow even better, Hotel Bastione makes me want to come back to Brindisi and tell my friends to come too."

"This B and B is in the centre of town. Its very walkable to get around the entire place. Clean pleasant stay. Its well run."
