"The room was clean and tidy with nice bedding. There was a private courtyard which was nice although hadn't been tidied prior to our arrival, the umbrella and fairy lights were broken and it wasn't well maintained, but nice to have. The pendant lights in the room were too low and I banged my head on them several times. Check in was easy but there was nobody to be seen for checkout and no instructions for what to do with the keys. Despite being a triple occupancy room we were approached by a staff member when our friend came to watch a movie with us in the room. The communal areas are very pretty and well maintained. The bar area is especially lovely and beautifully furnished, which sets a slightly false expectation for the basic rooms. Overall a nice stay, we just felt there could be a little more attention to detail for a more consistent experience. I would recommend it anyway."

"Let’s sure facilities not in use. No ground floor room for family and no lift - I had a broken foot. Neighbours room very loud until 2 AM. "

"Room was clean and had everything we needed, with the nice addition of some balloons and a birthday message on our return after a day out for our daughter, having told them why we were there on arrival. Staff really helpful throughout. Last minute decision to eat in the bar area (restaurant fully booked) provided us with nice meals, which was against some of the reviews we had read, so I am assuming improvements have been made. Drink choices were good. Breakfast was also good. My wife assured me the full English was tasty, the alternatives I could have were all very nice. Quick use of the pool on our second day before breakfast. It was popular, but everything was clean. Didn’t get chance to use jacuzzi or steam and sauna unfortunately. Only gripe was people smoking directly outside/slightly in, the entrance lobby, but that is just how some people are. I guess even if they were asked to step 3metres to the side they wouldn’t. But one for the reception staff to at least try? "

"Excellent place to stay. Great value for money ; accommodation very comfortable with easy parking. Staff helpful and friendly. The pub and restaurant first rate with excellent menu options. We will definitely make a return visit in the future. "

"Staff were very welcoming and friendly, room clean, bed comfy and shower lovely. Tea and coffee tray good and staff happy to give us more when we asked. Tv was a good size and breakfast was delicious. Good selection of cereals, pastry, hot food, could have as much as we wanted. The only thing that let our stay down a bit this time was the WiFi. Previous stay it was great but this time we were at the end of the corridor and the signal wasn't great, it kept dropping off, even our data didn't work well in that room. If it wasn't for the WiFi then would of rated it excellent instead of good. "
