โThe owner/managers were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and spacious and well appointed, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.โ
โWe stayed in an appartment across from the hotel. Very good spot for beach and transport. Was very clean but needed plenty of updating. Rotton window in bathroom which also looked very tired. The whole room did need a re vamp but served us very well.โ
โIf you are interested in the Victory or the Mary Rose it is right across the street. Super great. Parking down the street was easy but prefer not to have to do it. But if you have to remote park, it wasn't a big deal. It was pretty easy.โ
โThe staff were really friendly and lovely and the stay was so value for money with breakfast included. The bed was also quite comfy and the room was nice and warm. The decor is a little outdated but that doesn't affect the stay at all. The pub was decent and although we didnt try the food, the menu looked great.โ
โMe and my husband loved our stay here. We were happy we found this property on such short notice. My husband wanted to get away for the weekend before starting his chemotherapy the week after and wanted to do something different and this was just perfect. He feels relaxed and ready to start his treatment. Thanks to all the staff at the nag's head pub you guys made our weekend feel special. โ
โLoved our stay here, sad it was only for one night. The staff that checked us in was very friendly and very welcoming. Next day for breakfast the staff, I didnโt catch her name, very lovely too. My little daughters being divas loved the style of the hotel and the big chandelier ๐ will defo return :) โ
โA lovely pub/reataurant with rooms. We stayed in โThe Apartmentโ that sleeps up to six people, with two bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Four of us stayed comfortably and we will definitely stay here again. We had dinner and breakfast there, the food was lovely, and service second to none. Itโs a great location, literally on the beach and has parking. Really friemdly, attentive staff who couldnโt do enough to help. They have live music events and the vibe in the bar area is good. โThe apartment was clean and exactly what we was looking for as it was just a base for us to sleep and shower.
The staff are friendly, unfortunately parking is not free and is quite expensive and they say there is parking in the area, unfortunately southsea/Portsmouth is on the ball with parking and is mostly only available for locals with a parking permits.
If you like pubs,bars and restaurants you are in the right area as there are loads around.

โWhat a lovely gem of a place which was so welcoming and provided simply the best breakfast you could wish for. What with their own chicken eggs, sausages and fresh home baked bread, you can't go wrong! Janet is a lovely lady who likes to make you feel very welcome. I will be re visiting for sureโ
