"From what I understand this place used to be a casino turned family resort. It definitely shows in the carpets and general layout. I didn’t mind that honestly it was kind of cool however it was extremely crowded and if I remember correctly the tickets for the water park are not included in your stay. It’s like $30 a kid and they close the water park at 8. The water park is also on pretty much the opposite side of the hotel as where you go to buy tickets for it. The “security” people were nice but didn’t really know where anything was or basic information like questions about the water park. They also seemed to be just standing there looking at the ground instead of surveying like security would normally do. Which would be fine If when I looked up the show boat I didn’t see information about a stabbing a few months ago. Breakfast was not included in the nights cost btw.
Overall it was a good enough experience- there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts and many other food places nearby or a restaurant to pay for breakfast in the hotel. Right on the board walk so you can just exit through the back and will be pretty close to the pier. Huge arcade that keeps kids occupied."
