"the Menger is full of history, from the original Menger, to the newest part of the hotel. we stayed in the old Menger part, it was wonderful. the room was up to date, with a/c, great bathrooms, with a great shower. it was central to all the sites we saw, the Alamo was the greatest, with its new attractions, we will be staying there the next go around."
"Room was clean, beds comfortable. Only thing they didn't have in the room was a microwave that I could have used.
But it was ok cause they had a restaurant and a coffee & bar area. Every thing we ate at both places was very good!"
"Great location but there were some things we didn't like. The "free" breakfast was so crowded. Also many of the items were not protected as they should be from contamination. The floors were sticky throughout the hotel. I think next time we might opt for a more elevated experience."

The pool is surrounded indoor pool. Great place for families. 5 star Steak house part of the property. We absolutely loved it.
We are 79 & 82 on our way home from Yellowstone to Houston. You can’t go wrong with hotel. They have fresh baked cookies when we check in"
