The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. The staff was very attentive and the food was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Porta Hotel del Lago.

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Antigua. A few hundred yards from the famous Antigua Arch, the staff was above and beyond expectations 24/7. They found us a Mayan tour guide for the city walk and the next day out to the Iximché Ruins, we saw an actual Mayan ritual by people doing their way if life - ie not a show for tourists. There weren’t any there. Back at Hotel Rafael, Ray and his partner built a little piece of perfection from excellent breakfasts, indoor ponds, and...

Staff goes above and beyond for their guests

The property is beautiful. Well maintained and the common areas (restaurant, pool, bar, gym) are large, well appointed and comfortable. Our rroom and bathroom were incredibly clean. The best part, though, was the staff at the front desk - in particular, Emanuel. He was incredibly helpful - helping us change to a quieter room, arranging for shuttles, meals to go, and gave good advice on where to eat. He is a great representative for the hotel, and we really appreciated his responsiveness to our...

Best place ever I loved me and my girlfriend cried remembering we had to leave. Gonna miss this place so much. Lovely staff and lovely cozy rooms. Will be back soon and will only be booking with this hotel don’t miss out on this experience !

This is our third time staying at the Casa Encantada: first time with the connection to La Porta: we love it! The connection to the Porta means you can stay in a small, enchanting boutique hotel but swim and sauna nearby at the larger convention size hotel. The rooms are beautiful, with incense, bathrobes, the most comfortable bed and shower. The staff is exceptional, wise, informative, helpful. No mistake, this is the place to stay in Antigua and breakfast at la Casa Encantada..on the...

Had a bit of confusion during checkin but other than that the location was awesome

The hotel was clean and in a perfect location. They offered all kinds of amenities

Great location, friendly staff, clean, quiet. Good value. The only thing I noted that was not good is that they do not provide a bottle of pure water. You have to pay for your water. That is rather annoying.

A clean and neat hotel with extremely professional and friendly staff. The hotel is comfortable and faculties adequate. Best to skip the breakfast as there are other options in town.

This is the best hotel experience I have had in a long time and the best ever in Antigua. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had great views. We used the pool everyday which was spectacular. The hotel is centrally-located and we walked to all of the popular spots in Antigua. We loved it here and will be back on our next stay!

This quaint hotel is conveniently located within a 5 - 10 minute walking distance to Central Park, La Merced, El Arco de Santa Catalina and plenty of good restaurants. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful with directions and general questions. The common areas such as the kitchen, patio and main floor restroom are kept very clean. Second floor passageway has an extraordinary view of el Volcan de Agua. Shout out to Roxana and Cesar who manage the front desk. They're communcative and...
