“This 5 star hotel was great, I asked for interconnecting rooms for the two rooms I booked and was given this and also was given a free upgrade of rooms with views of the Haram which was a good gesture from the hotel. Rooms were great with all the facilities needed for our stay and room size was adequate for us. There was a shuttle that took you to the Haram every half hour, stopping at the Jarwal bus stop. (Since there are many bus stops around the Haram, it’s important to remember the name of yours.)
Be sure to try Aryana Restaurant nearby — it has the best charcoal chicken I’ve ever tasted.
Also, some reviewers mentioned there was no hot water. In fact, there is a switch in the washroom that turns on the water heater. Just turn it on for a few...
“I had a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott, Makkah. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout my 5-day stay. The services provided were excellent and, considering the price, I found it very good value for money.
The only caveat is that the hotel is slightly away from Haram. You do need to take a shuttle, but the hotel provides regular buses every hour, and there are several hotels along the same street offering similar...
