“Wish I booked elsewhere. Not sure about the overall ratings Expedia shows for this place. Check-in: Waited 10 minutes or more. Cost is unrefundable. Needed a 2nd night stay without knowing the dread. Re-entry into hotel was controlled by a button at the check-in counter but staff were hardly there. Value: Not worth it. Paid more for 2nd night. The views of the hills in the distance and the staghorn plants that surround as you take a dip in the pool are incredibly peaceful. The breakfast was amazing, the neighbors and the shop up the road were so kind. We walked to grocrey stores and restaurants every evening! We will be back every time we visit Trinidad. ”

“The sheets were dirty. When I opened the faucet in the shower, brown dirty water came out. The room smelled liked it just got sorayed with a generous amount of Baygon. Although the location is good it is definitely not worth it.”

“The room was not clean. There were some sort of metal shavings on the ground. The door handle was broken. Furniture unclean. Wifi did not work a bit. No cleaners came in between the days to change towels, toilet paper, etc. The staff was friendly for the most part but the infrastructure is terrible”

The neighborhood did not seem safe, and there were no restaurants in close proximity, so a car is needed. Recommend for those not wanting to stay in Port of Spain. I saw from last year other guests suggested a few things that would make a guest’s stay much more enjoyable but those things one year later has not been done. We stayed for carnival and the distance to events held in the Savannah was amazing. Message to the owner(s) toilet paper holder, towel rack, shower door or curtain, spray for ants, fix bathroom door so it can close properly, a/c in living room, new pots, paper plates, plastic forks, kettle...
