“This might be the prettiest place I ever stayed at. The scenery is spectacular. The hotel is just perfect. It's a beautiful country-house with exceptional food and the service is great. A++. I strongly recommend this. We did the horse and ATV tour and it's a must do. Fly into Wellington and rent a car to see the beautiful scenery on the 2 hr drive. I would love to return.”

“Run by a sweet elderly couple, the bath, kitchenette and linens were very clean. However, the carpeting was not and the facility could use a good freshening up. It is very convenient to everything in Martinborough and was inexpensive.”

“Room needed a spring clean... coffee stained plug hole in sink, icebox needs defrosting (ice cubes would be great). Bathroom ceiling needs dead bugs removed, vent need webs removed, garbage bin pedal was broken. However it was clean. Good tv facilities were there but you had to sign in to stuff. We watched tv1 but it kept dropping us. Spa the treadmill vibrated when running at speed so remote was flung off and slammed into wall (all still worked)”

“Fabulous property /grounds. Got upgraded to a lake view cottage which was spacious and comfortable. The Continental breakfast included with our room rate was really tasty and there was lots of choice. Dinner in the York bistro was especially good. Great service from all the staff. A really friendly, relaxing place to stay with easy access to enjoy the pretty town of Martinborough as well as the various wineries. ”
