Whittier Narrows Recreation Area Tours

The property is very well maintained. The room was very clean and comfortable.The rooms are quite cozy, so if you don't like tight spaces do not stay here. The parking ($10) is horrible, I'm glad we were in our Honda Civic and not our SUV. There are limited spaces and slots are very small. The air-conditioner was super loud not sure if ours was having issues or if it's normal for all the units. We arrived at 240 pm and we were told that we had to wait until 255 to check in or pay for a early check in which is $40, WHAT? We've never paid a early check in fee, we have paid a late check out fee which makes more sense. So we waited the 15 minutes in the car. The parking lot at this time had 3 cars, one of which was ours. All things being said, we would stay here again for a quick 1 night stay.

We stayed one night when we went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Loved the vibe of the hotel and especially the restaurant, food was delicious… closed down the tiny bar downstairs after our concert which we actually just walked back from. Definitely will stay there for next concert.

At first glance, the front lobby looks modern and clean, which gave us a great first impression. Unfortunately, everything changed once we got to our room. This is much more of a motel than a hotel and, in our experience, it is not family-friendly. The guests staying above us were extremely loud all night, with constant stomping, yelling, and other inappropriate behavior that made it impossible to sleep. Honestly, I think I would have slept better in my car. The property is also very old, and while the lobby looks nice, the rooms are outdated and not very clean. The overall condition did not match the impression the entrance gives. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. Between the lack of cleanliness and the sleepless night due to the excessive noise, we will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to families looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay.
