“This is a very nice lodge in a beautiful setting. It is not the place for people with mobility issues as the guest rooms are a bit of a hike from the building with the check-in desk and restaurant. Also it is a little expensive, but understandable in this remote location. Nice room and good restaurant.”

“Excellent location for visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP. The host was attentive, the room was perfect with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and place settings for 2. I just hope the toilet paper was chosen for the septic system and not because they wanted that brand. I am glad I arrived in the daylight, the short dirt road in would be tricky in the dark the first time. Dining recommendations were spot on - good food, very friendly service, and close by. I wouldn't hesitate to book here...

“The Gateway is one of our new favorite spots to stay! The hotel is a well-maintained but older. All the amenities are great and well-maintained as well. Our room was super comfy, and a nice bed. The restaurant was fantastic, amazing food that was well worth the price. Amazing view at night, with great ambiance. The staff was super friendly, and did a great job!”
