"Even though this was only an overnight stay before travelling to a cottage in Keswick, it turned out to be our favourite place visited in a long time. The hotel is perfectly positioned on the main road only 4 minutes away from the town centre, and 15 minutes walk to Bowness. On approaching the check in desk, we were met by Karl, who signed us in and showed us to our rooms- we had requested to have the rooms together as our son is Autistic and we weren't disappointed xx the rooms themselves were lovely and clean, spacious and had the comfiest of beds. Breakfast next morning was delicious and free!! No added charge and it certainly filled us up. This wonderful establishment is run by three members of staff who couldn't be more friendly, professional and accommodating xx We will be back and will stay longer next time xx thank you so much xx"

"We were absolutely thrilled with the apartment. It was amazing—so cute and incredibly well equipped! Everything felt new and thoughtfully designed, making it a wonderful base for our trip. ​The location couldn't be more perfect. We had private parking, and the apartment is right on the doorstep of all the shops and restaurants, plus it was only a few minutes' walk to the lake. Everything we needed was immediately accessible. ​The only real drawback we experienced was the sofa bed. It was very springy and uncomfortable, even for our small children. If you plan to use it for sleeping, be aware that it might not provide a restful night. ​Regarding check-in, the process was a little unclear. I wasn't sure when the access code for the key box would be sent, so I had to reach out to the management. For future guests, note that the code is sent just before the official check-in time. It would be helpful if this timeline were communicated more clearly upon booking to avoid any unnecessary worry. ​Overall, a truly excellent stay thanks to the apartment's high quality and unbeatable location."

"Oakfold house is convenient located in Bowness on Windermere, a mere 2-min walk to bus-stops going towards the pier or to Grasmere. We had also walked 15 mins to the pier and 15 mins to Windermere town centre.Its proprietors, Chris & Robin are attentive and hospitable hosts who ensure we have a pleasant and memorable stay in Windermere, giving us advice to make our way around. They also ensure we start the day with a hearty breakfast of our own choice. Their guest lounge is a Iovely place to relax after a day out."
