"I recently traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast with my 82-year-old mother and 6-pound Chorkie. This hotel was hands-down our favorite of the entire road trip.
The desk clerk was super friendly and enthusiastic when we checked in, and offered recommendations on local restaurants. (Be sure to try Tomato Street Italian restaurant near the hotel.) The staff member (Will?) who was managing the breakfast the next morning was attentive and responsive, helping people looking for something they needed, refilling containers, and maintaining the cleanliness.
The room as spacious, clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The bathroom and shower were huge, well stocked, and luxurious.
The pet fee was reasonable and there were plenty of nearby areas to walk my dog.
Five stars all around!"
"This place is in need of serious updating, maintenance and cleaning. Staff on duty was very helpful and took care of getting us a different room after we saw all the mold around bath fixtures. The product used to clean the bath floor made it sticky. Both rooms were like that. Our shower curtain hadn’t been washed in a very long time. They’re supposed to be white, but ours was that orange/pink mildew color."
"It was unfortunate that we were not told about the whole back and side yard being dug up due to sewer problems at the hotel. Honestly we probably would have booked elsewhere.
The staff was nice and the room was okay. The roll out heater had a broken wheel so would not stand very well. The mattress was used to the point that it had two indentation on each side, so you would kinda roll into that spot. Location is great, street parking only. Coffee and breakfast was good. Temperature throughout house was prompt ably about 60 degrees, none of the fireplaces were turned on. It just seemed like more attention to ambiance could have been made.
I am sure its completely decorated and everything working during events but for B&B it just seemed a bit cold.
Overall I would give it 4 stars but needs attention to guest detail and equipment repair, at least in our room."
