"It was a terrible experience from start to finish. The flat reeked of smoke, communication with the host was awful, and to top it off, there were large spiders. I reported the issues to both Hotels.com and the host, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Would not recommend."

"The property was very much work in progress the owner had just finished with unit we stayed in but some of the rooms were low ceilings upper floor made us bump ou heads. The driveway was full of work equipment which meant that our car had to parked in the road. No laundry facilities which was a no no."

"Beautiful little hotel! Couldn’t fault it from the welcoming arrival (with free drink!) to check out. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean with great amenities and the beautiful garden was an added bonus! Great location for town and we loved the record player in our room!! Thank you!! "

"Lovely hotel. Great location by the train station. If you're looking for something in the city center, this might not be the hotel for you - but as a someone pass through and stopping in Basel for a night, it was perfect. Affordable for Switzerland. Very large rooms. We were there during a heatwave and not only was the AC great, but the hotel had ice and water. Very good internet (I had some work video calls and was a little nervous after traveling to some other hotels around Europe). Would 100% stay there again. Felt like it was a great find. "
