"Lovely spot - close enough to everything in Munising but just far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. We stayed in one of the suites, which was spacious, well-maintained, cute, and comfortable. We ate at Tracey's for two dinners in a row, because the food was excellent and the staff welcoming and knowledgeable. Very cute little bar that's also quite well-appointed. The bartender (I think his name was Vaughn) was awesome. This was our first stay in Munising, and because of the Roam Inn it won't be our last. One last thing: we didn't think that the photographs of the room (on Orbitz and on the Inn's own website) did the place justice. The place exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended."
"Perfect spot for our mini vacation, loved the size and the amenities of the property. Very cute and close to town. Wish there was one more chair, only 3 chairs inside and outside for a space that fit 4 comfortably. Thank you for the great communication."
"Despite the name, this is not a B&B - it's a few rooms on the back of the owner's home. The guests share a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and some outdoor deck space. A few days before we arrived, the owner sent a message saying he doesn't provide breakfast (which other reviews have noted but I hadn't read until after we arrived), and suggested picking up groceries on our way, and he refunded $10/day/person to cover those (at checkout).
Good: The bedroom was large and had a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The shared space with other guests was bright and comfortable, with great views of the lake. The kitchen was fully equipped, so cooking meals there would have been easy (although we didn't). The bathroom had lots of nice towels. The owner was generous in sharing the laundry facilities - and even folded our laundry (which was a surprise!) when I went out before it was done.
Bad: Maintenance isn't great. The door to our bedroom took a lot of work to open & close. Many of the windows don't open. The shower had a bottle of shampoo, two bottles of conditioner.... and no soap. The air conditioning in the bedroom (it was *really* hot) was very noisy and rattled.
Really bad (but not the owner's fault): Cell service and wifi are pretty much unusable.
It's a fabulous location, and the price wasn't bad. I wish the name were more accurate, and the maintenance were better."
"I found that the motel was in a perfect location. Being on the lake was a plus. The view and sunsets were great. Although, the motel is older, it's was well maintained and clean. The accommodation worked well and the kitchen had every you needed for cooking and preparing food. The lady at the desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating. What a beautiful area."
