I had a function that evening and needed to iron my clothes. I sent a text message to the hotel and called but there was no answer. “Home away from home, everything you need except a microwave but managed without. The place was clean and the bed very comfortable. Walking distance to the golf club, meals, pokies, keno and more. No need to go anywhere else if you just want to relax ”

“The Sportslander is just what I expected, an older motel that had all the basics covered. The room was older style, clean and on the end of a 10 day straight run of over 40 deg temps the pool and aircon did the job, the bed was comfy, there was no noise and had a good night sleep. For a budget one night stay, it did the job very well. ”

“This is a late 70’s early 80’s style motor inn that will surprise you with the cleanliness of the rooms and the close location to the centre of Echuca. A short 2km walk and you are in town, there nice cafes closer than that and the staff are helpful. Represents great value for money”

“ I had a concerning experience during our stay. The room doors shut very quickly and forcefully, which can be dangerous—especially for children. Unfortunately, my daughter’s finger got stuck in the door. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured very badly, but it was a very scary moment for us. I strongly recommend the hotel consider installing soft-closing mechanisms or safety features to prevent such incidents in the future.
