Lovely lodge

"The hotel was lovely and our stay was great. The only negative was no elevator, and there was no one to help us carry our bags upstairs, or at least none of the young, healthy staff who were watching, offered. We are two mid 70’s ladies traveling, and it would have been much appreciated! "

Excellent - so we booked a return stay

"I asked for a quiet room, at the back, away from the lifts. Many hotels don’t bother even trying to facilitate such requests. But not here. We got exactly what we requested and we got a great night's sleep. In fact the lifts are well away from the bedrooms, a nice design feature. The room was big. Two armchairs. Comfortable bed. Everywhere spotless. (Small niggle: no fridge or safe in the room). Staff are exceptional - reception, bar and breakfast room. Excellent breakfast. We had a lovely dinner in the bar. It was busy, but very comfortable. When we were checking out we booked a room for next month. Looking forward to it."
