"First and foremost, we were not advised on booking that hotel was under renovations. With that being said there was no discounted price in comparison to hotels in the area. After a long day of soccer all my boys wanted to do was shower and go to bed . Unfortunately, there was no soap in the dispenser for them to bathe with. We called the front desk and they said it wouldn’t be available till the morning. They took a shower with shampoo. Not to mention, while bathing the tub would fill up with water and not drain appropriately. I dropped my glasses on the floor behind the bed when I pulled it out the amount of dirt that was behind there was disgusting. Not the hotels fault about the noise with guests however when I call the front desk to notify them drunk and loudness going on, nothing was done to rectify the situation. The noise went on till 1 AM and getting up early was dreadful. At this point in the morning I was definitely cranky. All I wanted was my coffee but the coffee machine was broken. My boys wanted hot chocolate that was on the menu and they said they didn’t have that either! The breakfast we paid for was worst than buying food at 7/11. It should’ve been included in the hotel price especially since they were under renovation. I will never again book with Sonesta . I would’t even stay there for free. "
"Looks like this hotel is fairly new to the downtown area in Providence It was very clean the staff are very nice beautiful decor there's a taco restaurant on the side of the hotel and they have a beautiful rooftop lounge where you order a small bites. The only drawback is that they don't offer hot breakfast only sandwiches and then you have to order them through an online kiosk and then give it to the front desk and they bring it down for you. So a lot of inconvenience steps to get breakfast but there are lots of diners that are with a walking distance. "
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Warwick-Providence (Arpt) by IHG
4/10 Poor
"Staff was friendly and helpful, general areas were clean for the most part, room was nice. Pool hours were frustrating — 9am-9pm. I have a 7 year old who couldn’t wait to use the pool when we got back around 9pm from the hockey game. He was majorly disappointed. Why 9pm? There is no lifeguard ever so why not 24/7? 9am opening is even more ridiculous. He’s up at 6am so trying to figure out what to do with him. Once it did open, there were no pool towels, pool was dirty and dirty towels (and someone’s socks) everywhere. Bizarre. Breakfast was terrible. It was a typical Buffett style but everything way overcooked, particularly the eggs. Plates were styrofoam with the cheapest plastic utensils you can buy, where the overcooked egg chunks go flying everywhere when u try to cut into them. A bunch of little things just made the breakfast experience annoying. Like salt and pepper shakers were not at individual tables, but a community spot where a line formed to use. Why? Put individual ones at the tables. Milk for kids cereal was a 2 gallon jug in a fridge instead of individual half-pints you could take to ur table. Overall, less than pleasant experience. "
