“Staff were really friendly. Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were spotless. They also left a teddy on my daughters bed, which was lovely.the only 2 downsides were the WiFi (room 20) wasn’t reliable, this is fine if you don’t need the internet but if you intend to use it was a bit of pain because there was no mobile signal either. I like that it is a dog friendly hotel, however we had a dog barking most of the night at the hotel.”

“We had a great room that was that was perfect for our short stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large on-suite. The extra space was needed as we traveled with our dog. The property has lovely grounds to explore and it’s close to pubs. I highly recommend this property. ”

“Wateredge Inn, Ambleside We stayed at the Wateredge Inn in October for one night and really liked it. The location is perfect, right by the water, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything felt nicely done and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good too. We’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.”

“Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...
