"I cannot say how awful this place was. We were ripped off so bad. Expedia charged us and then the owner Esa charged us as well and an extra $500USD that’s for a room with no electricity no WiFi terrible food it was so bad after two days we moved next door along with 6 others to Korovu “resort” and Arieta was so kind and helped us settle in and didn’t charge us as much because we were ripped off by her family next door. "We stayed on board the Pipe Rose catamaran and visited both the Paradise Cove and Blue Lagoon Resorts. The staff at both resorts were great and the boat crew incredible! Highly recommended way to see the Fijian Islands."

"We loved our spacious bungalow only meters from a gorgeous beach, perfect for swimming and snorkeling! The amenities are simple, clean and functional. Cold water only, which we didn’t mind. The hosts are real gems: such friendly people who welcome you into their lives, but also allow you all privacy to do your own thing. Any special dietary needs were catered for, and everyone goes out of their way to make your stay special. They even arranged a personal afternoon boat pick-up from the mainland, as our flight got in too late for the public ferry. If you are after an authentic, no frill experience, i can only recommend Naqalia."

"Rating: 5/5 Stars Our stay at Oarsman’s Bay Lodge was one of the highlights of our Fiji vacation. If you are looking for an authentic island experience away from large resorts and crowds, this is the perfect destination. The location is simply breathtaking, with crystal-clear turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and stunning views of the surrounding Yasawa Islands. Every morning felt like waking up in paradise, and the sunsets were absolutely spectacular. One of the standout features of the lodge is the food. Every meal was freshly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offered a great balance of local Fijian dishes and international options, ensuring there was always something enjoyable to try. Dining with the ocean just steps away made every meal even more memorable. The staff were exceptional and truly made our stay special. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. Their genuine hospitality created a warm, family-like atmosphere that made us feel at home throughout our visit. Whether organizing activities, answering questions, or simply sharing stories, the team consistently went above and beyond. The snorkeling and marine life around the lodge were incredible. The reef is easily accessible and full of colorful fish and coral, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. The peaceful environment, natural beauty, and relaxed pace of island life"

Barefoot Manta Island Resort and Marine Sanctuary

"The staff and management were amazing. The food was mediocre, the views were stellar as was the snorkeling with the manta rays. You can’t find a better place to do that. It is pretty rustic though as far as accommodations. Just be aware. It’s definitely more of an ecological place to stay versus a resort."

Korovou Eco Lodge

"Korovou completely exceeded our expectations. The lodging is simple but was the perfect Fiji experience we were hoping for. We came from a resort with more amenities on the main island, but Korovou was the highlight of our trip. Amazing staff, especially Abo, our main activities guy, and the ladies in the kitchen, as well as all the others constantly working on property, even down to pouring cement and raking the beach. We felt like family here, and met so many people from around the world. You can feel the care and passion put into everything they do. We ate like kings & queens, with plates piled high with delicious homemade food, we even got a surprise beach picnic at no charge with food made over the fire, and were taken by boat to a new beach to explore. Gorgeous coral reefs right out our door, with optional day trips to see the coral garden at Manta Ray passage. (no rays when we went but it was beautiful) Reviews are true when it comes to limited electricity, low water pressure, and extra charges for food and boat tender, but it did not affect our trip negatively in the slightest. Just come knowing those things and having an open mind. Vinaka vaka levu to everyone that made our time here so special."
