The views that the hotel offered were fantastic. The staff were very helpful with any questions. The property is starting to look a little worn around the edges.

The man working was very friendly and helpful, but I only ever saw one person working and I think he was kept very busy. Two of the three times I went to reception it was unattended and I had to wait at least 5 mins for him to show up. I only booked a one night stay and had mixed feeling about this place. It’s in a great location and I had a very big room with everything I needed and a great view. However if you looked closely it was a bit rough around the edges; cracks in the ceiling, mould in the shower, lampshade hanging skew and loads of dust under the bed and on the couch and stairwell. I only mention these things because of the price I paid, which was the same as a night I paid for a 5 star hotel in central Taipei.

View from the room was amazing!! Waking up to the beauty of sun moon lake was definitely the best part of the hotel. Good things first, the hotel is super close to the Main Street is that area, so there are lots of choices for eating and buying gifts. The hotel breakfast was also really good - recommend getting in included in your package, it’s way cheaper added on than getting it added after and the coffee is good. Another good thing is that it says double bed on the website but when we got there it was actually a king bed! Which was a great surprise and we had a great night sleep. Cons - cleanliness definitely needs to be improved on. If you just sit and look around there are lots of dust accumulating on the windowsill and on the armrest of our sofa. Bathroom was acceptable but I wouldn’t take a bath in the bathtub. Also the condition of the hotel itself needs to be updated a bit more - peeling paint, wallpaper, cheap flooring and cracked tiles in the bathroom. If you have an eye for detail then this probably will bother you but if you’re not too hard to please then definitely give this hotel a try! Another note, they don’t have parking on premises and the parking lot they work with is around 5 mins away - I suggest if you’re driving, call in advance and figure out where it is so you don’t get stuck trying to u-turn like we did after realizing there is no parking in front of the hotel!

Floor to ceiling windows-outstanding views of SML. Could stay in room whole day Close to restaurants and transportation. excellent breakfast and staff willing to help. Maintenance and cleanliness is subpar. Shower grout quite dirty, shower door won't close properly, bed way too soft- distracts from a otherwise prime location.

The outstanding feature of this small boutique hotel with 9 rooms is the location and view. Location close to main bus station/eateries and the view through floor to ceiling windows was simply breathtaking! Breakfast was sumptuous and excellent. Now the downside is the maintenance. Generally the room is dusty, the shower grout dirty, shower door not closing properly, the bed is way too soft. With improvement in maintenance, deserves a five star rating.

Best hotel I’ve been!
Strategically located right beside the port. Only few mins walk from bus station. Starbucks is right beside the building. Incredibly awesome view from the room! There was nothing much to explore at night so the best way to spend the night at sun moon lake is nothing but enjoying the lake view on a comfy couch in your cosy room! And you can even wake up to see sunrise in your bed! I hate that I only get to spend a night there. I’d definitely go back to sun moon lake for this room!

The location was very good. It was near many restaurants and the boat dock. But, Yuchi town is very small anyway. No heater just like many hotels in Taiwan. It may get cold during the winter. Cleanliness was okay. I would expect the hotel to be a lot cleaner for the price. All amenities seemed to be too old for the price. View was great.

Oceanic balcony views in stylish spacious room
Ocean views across from balcony outside our room. Walk along the beach or relax maybe even see a Monkey possibly too. Very stylish spacious room with balcony quite luxurious complementary products to use. Gourmet breakfast the best so far in Taiwan including the best coffee too !!! Only stay for a night. We compared its price per night with other hotels, it is on the high side so we expected more but the hotel is just an average. There is no lift and no one to help with carrying the luggages up to your room.

Amazing amenities and location
The B&B has the most amazing view in Sun Moon Lake. But the room has a serious moldy smell because it's right next to the lake. The amenities are wonderful; Evian water bottle and Hermes amenity kit was a big surprise and completely light up my stay. Breakfast was good. The bathroom was a bit outdated but quite clean.
