"This hotel is located in a great location and is super cute! The rooftop bar/pool/restaurant is really nice and the breakfast is fabulous!! We loved everything we had. The view from the pool is very nice and hip! The boutique in the hotel had very nice high end clothing and other neat stuff. The rooms are small but very nicely done and great bathroom amenities. I would stay here again for sure and I’m kind of a hotel snob but Upendo is super cute and decorated nicely "

"The property is hidden, and a small walk from the main Tembo hotel, but what makes up for it is the wonderful staff. Their friendliness, and willing to assist you at everything. The rooms can use alittle bit of an upgrade, and they should probably prohibit photo sessions from people on the streets, as there was alot of flash on the outside (but maybe an exception because of the public holiday). "PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. "Staff welcoming and attentive. Hotel rooms large clean and comfortable. Turn down service provided everynight which included mosquito nets and repellant. No lift in the property but the staff carried our luggage and allowed me to keep my childs pram down in reception. Every meal we had in the restaurant was delcious.
