"Fantastic hotel with the kindest staff. The location was perfect. The room is clean and the windows were huge! We were awoken to birds chirping in the morning and were surprised to learn they were pet birds kept in cages below our window. Great hotel with easy parking, easy walking distance to the castle. Breakfast is great too. "

"We had a great time at Te Gjyshi. Located right by the fort and owned by the restaurant, with the same name, that has a long history of serving guests in Berat. The place was newly renovated and the views were better than shown in the pictures. Restaurant served delicious Albanian cuisine and you received a discount for being a hotel guest. For breakfast you didnt get a choice to choose qhat you would like but what they served was again delicious. We especially loved how close we were to the fortress, and the old town was a short distance down hill. Going uphill after a day of exploring is a bit of a work out but manageable. Overall, loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "
