"An excellent location for an overnight stay en route to Portugal, with amazing views and plenty of space to relax and unwind after many hours in the car. The owners were friendly and very accommodating - providing recommendations for dinner and things to do. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, and the continental breakfast in the morning was excellent. "

"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. "This is a charming hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were excellent. The only negative is the absence on any parking and having to rely on street parking in the adjoining commercial district. Also, actually dropping off and picking up luggage is a challenge in the narrow cobbled streets. But after you are checked in, it is a fabulous location with great views and amazing charming dining options, beach close by."
