The hotel staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. We met the manager, Sylvia and her son Lorenzo. Very pleasant and fun to talk with. Breakfast was ample and plenty to eat. Room was very cosy and comfortable. Location was excellent, walking distance to most attractions. Would most definitely stay again if visiting Zurich.

I highly recommend this hotel. It is clean, very well located, and the staff was always kind and helpful. Our return flight was late in the day, and they allowed us to store our luggage after check-out so we could continue exploring the city, which we truly appreciated. We also arrived a little before the official check-in time, and they kindly gave us our room early. After a long journey, this was a wonderful gesture and meant a lot to us. The only minor downside is that the bathroom is quite small. Other than that, we had a great stay. I definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Unfortunately, the reception staff were not very friendly, and the overall hospitality could definitely be improved. The shower temperature was also very difficult to control, constantly switching between extremely hot and cold, which was quite uncomfortable. There is NO A/C, and opening the windows isn’t really an option if you want to sleep, as the street noise continues until very late at night. On the positive side, the location is excellent.

Location is very convenient to easily walk to and from the central train station, walk along the river, and catch public transport from the strassebahn hub. Souvenir shops and many mid-tier restaurants are in very close proximity to the hotel. There's plenty of water fountains just steps away for free water as well as convenience stores for other drinks. As it's a popular outdoor lunch and dinner spot, leaving your windows open for air might be a bit noisy, but it adds to the ambience and it definitely quiets down by like 11pm/12am. I picked this location for the outdoor rooftop patios, but for whatever reason the umbrellas and canopies weren't fully set up so that I wasn't roasting under direct sunlight. Especially since there wasn't much space to sit around or chill near the check-in desk/lobby. I was also really really really disappointed that the wine cellar was not longer in operation despite the hotel still having photos of it. Didn't get to try the breakfast but heard from other guests that it was solid. Staff was very kind, friendly, and outgoing, able to accommodate you in any language. Appreciated that they took my bags up to my room for me. Smallest shower I've ever used and note that there's no air conditioning so if you happen to be in town during a heat wave summer, you might be pretty uncomfortable. For me it was a solid stay in a convenient location. Would stay again chiefly for location and cheap price.

Good location but there are issues Rooms/barhrooms are small, no Air conditioning. There some maintenance issues (the toilet seat was not actually attached to the toilet). Having said that, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Staff was excellent and friendly. Public parking is available on the other side of the river.
