I don't know why Expedia gave me this hotel as an option in Zurich area as it takes about 25 min to get there from Zurich by train and 10 min by bus, which costs about €60 for 3 people. The area around the hotel is really nice and quiet, but the best thing is staff at the hotel. Two very nice young ladies answered questions about my trip in details, and also made some accomodations for me because the first room didn't work for us. There's always somebody at the front desk, and they are so kind and helpful. The nearest supermarket is a 10 min walk, and the train station is 15. Not many good options for restaurants unless you go towards the train station.

The staff was helpful. There are other budget hotels i've been to and they made the customer stay comfortable. This hotel is NOT comfortable - too many negatives to mention. To cite a few - shower head is not installed properly - it keeps falling so you have to hold it. The door to the toilet has a hole instead of a door knob, there is a hole with a missing door knob so left a hole there - no privacy. There's no kettle for hot water. The comforter provided for one of us has a red nasty looking blanket. The sink is clogged which we reported but no one came to resolve the issue. I dont normally write reviews but just want to warn my fellow travellers. Overall, i dont think this particular location of Ibis (Winterthur) is well-maintained. I dont know about the other locations.

The hotel was great for what it was. Much cheaper than other options, still close to the train station, and right next to a shopping center and 24-hour convenience store. My only complaint is that in the description of the hotel, it claims access to laundry facilities. There are no such facilities that are accessible by customers. The hotel offers a laundry SERVICE, but does not offer facilities. There’s a rather large difference there, especially in terms of the total cost.
