Nicest hotel I’ve been too

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!

Beautiful hotel in convenient location. Staff was so polite and the rooms had everything you needed (razor, toothbrush, etc)! The room was the cleanest I have ever had in all my years of traveling across the US and world. There is a massive mall right outside the front door, plenty of food, and you couldn’t be any closer to a wonderful transportation hub.

Incredible stay! The restaurant is Michelin Starred level, the spa is wonderful, the staff very helpful and the location very close to the Miyajima Ferry.
