Upper Lake Constance Kid friendly Vacations

Our waiter, Alejandro, in the Breakfast was not polite at all and did not make us feel welcomed. We asked if we could change the egg for ham in the sandwich ,since I don’t eat egg, he said no, didn’t offer any other recommendations at all. Just no. Service was slow, he never asked how the food was or if we liked it. I later ordered a cappuccino with 2 Splenda and he just pointed at the sugar, instead of verbally letting us know that we add it ourselves. My mother wanted to order a muffin, he said no because it was not available, however it was on the menu. We never got told beforehand that the muffins weren’t available. We didn’t return to the cafe just because of this experience. It’s incredible that we got better service from the cafe around the corner than in the hotel we paid for. Disappointing. However the ladies in the host stand were very nice and also the staff that brought us the food.

In the morning we found black debris all over our pillows and side table. The AC/Heat vent in the room must have not been cleaned and when the air came out it went all over. It was really disgusting and we are worried it went into our mouth, nose and face through the night. We also got a ticket being parked temp. in front of the hotel when we were checking out. $110 ticket . Aside from these unfortunate events, the hotel service and staff were wonderful. Everyone from JR who is the evening manager to the bar staff and housekeeper were so kind, warm and inviting.

The rooftop bar and lounge had stunning views of the Brooklyn bridge and Hudson river. Just minutes away from Manhattan and close enough to walk to the Bridge. Room service was excellent. Very clean room.

Lovely staff. Incredible property. The hype is real. This is by far and away the nicest property we’ve stayed at in Manhattan in a long time.

The place is pretty nice, great location, good staff, but here's where my issues lie. I didn't appreciate the mandatory resort fee 45$ per day for water i didnt need, and a pool i didnt use. The gym was cool but i didnt use it. I feel cheated. Not to mention its unacceptable to pay for a deluxe room and not have a mini fridge to keep my drinks and food safe and cold. Overall i left feeling bitter. They should improve on those things.
