Historic Route 66 Romantic Vacations

It was goo, but they don't give you water and coffee... Come on! That's almost a human right.

The property was extremely clean and taken care of. The only pleasant employees we came across was a pool bartender guy and front desk guy. Everyone else seemed like they did not enjoy being there and did the bare minimum for working in hospitality to try and help us. Food was ok at best. Casino dealers were lacking a personality which made the gambling experience not that fun. Very strict alcohol policy - no drinking on the casino floor and all alcohol drinks have to be paid for. I think these are New Mexicos laws though so not a knock against Sandia itself there, just something to be aware of if you’re coming to this property from out of state like us. While the property was nice and rooms were spacious and clean, I just don’t think the price justified the level of enjoyment on the trip.

Hotel Chaco was an excellent stay and one of the highlights of our trip. The location is fantastic — close to Old Town and convenient to everything while still feeling relaxing and upscale. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had a very luxurious feel without being overdone. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained, which made the stay feel special from the moment we checked in. The food was also amazing. Every meal we had was flavorful and well prepared, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel added to the experience. Overall, Hotel Chaco combines a great location, beautiful rooms, and excellent dining into a stay that feels both comfortable and high-end. Would definitely stay here again.

I live in Los Lunas and I stayed one night by myself at Isleta for a little me time. Check in was at 4, so I bought a day pass at the Spa starting at 12:30. Was a really nice way to extend my trip a little and I was given the hotel rate for the Spa. I had a nice dinner at TIWA Restaurant, got my $10 FreePlay for being a new player in the casino, did another swim in the evening, and loved my room. My friend had told me their rooms were a little dated, but mine was gorgeous. Not the best view, but I didn’t expect a great view based on the room I’d selected. In the morning the valet shuttle took me over to the lakes and I walked around all of them. They’re fishing lakes, but they’re beautiful and clean with nice gravel paths around all of them. Really, I had a lovely getaway not far from home.

The drive to Hyatt Tamaya Resort is absolutely beautiful and sets the tone for the entire stay. The scenery is peaceful and relaxing, and along the way you pass a gorgeous golf course and horses, which makes the whole experience feel unique and almost secluded from the city in the best possible way. The resort itself is massive, stunning, and incredibly well maintained. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel even more relaxing. Our room was definitely a bit of a trek to get to — we absolutely got our steps in — but once we arrived, it was completely worth it. The view was epic. The room itself was spacious with two beds, plenty of room to move around comfortably, and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The room felt bright and inviting during the day, while the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep in and fully relax. The shower was one of the highlights. Great water pressure, endless hot water, and overall just a really nice setup. There was also plenty of lighting, enough towels, and extra bedding readily available, which made the stay feel thoughtful and comfortable. Overall, this resort felt relaxing, scenic, and luxurious without feeling overwhelming. We would absolutely stay here again.
