Nice Stay

Definitely would not recommend. There are at least 4-5 other places on Mactan I’d highly recommend. We made reservations in a pinch and thought the kids might enjoy. Hotel staff never replied to a single message we sent prior to our stay. I dont think anyone at the hotel even knew what was going on or acknowledged the questions we had - which were pretty normal, ie arranging a car. I’d personally give this place a 1-2 rating. I’ve stayed at places in the Philippines for the half the price and 5x as nice.

Hidden Gem

This our 3rd stay at Kandaya. Sadly, lots of upgrading is needed now. We first had a deluxe suite booked. Foul smell was coming from bathroom, TV wasn’t working well and air conditioned was not functioning well. We eventually moved to a villa, which was better but bathroom needs upgrading, tiles from the pool were coming off as well. Gym definitely needs a lot of upgrades. Air condition was always not properly functioning and ALL equipments were so old, most were taped off and too old to use. Expected more for spa accommodation, especially for the price. Staff is always friendly. Hopefully upgrades will be done, especially for the price.

Hidden Gem

The property is under renovation and was not informed from the website. So it was very dusty even inside the room. The staff is very helpful, friendly and attentive. I requested to re clean the toilet as it was not properly cleaned and someone did came and clean it. Over all it is a lovely place when renovation is done. We had a good time. We did not swim on the beach though as it was low tide.
