Toronto Kid friendly Vacations

Modern look with Art Deco feel interior. Room was spacious with good view of the city landscape. We had a few concerns with a fire alarm going off at 3 AM with a speaker or announcement that was taken as a Drill?? hard to hear if needed to evacuate? We travelled with another couple and their floor seem to evacuate while others stayed in rooms. Apperantly the alarm had gone off a couple times earlier in the evening but f

Our overall stay was good, the concierges were fantastic! Front desk staff were a little snarky. I would have given an excellent review but the maintenance person came to plunge our toilet, said it was fine, then shortly after that it overflowed and started flooding our room. Not impressed at all. I was very impressed with the cleaning staff dealing with the clean up from the flooding though. Our room cleaner was great but the other one cleaning rooms was rude. I just wished after all the extreme stress from the flooding, that management would have offered a free restaurant meal or something similar. Overall though I would recommend the property and we were satisfied with our stay.

We have always loved the Royal York, it is my favorite place to stay in Toronto, we only get 7-10 nights in the city per year, and that’s where we want to be.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the safe didn't work. It would also be nice if the shower had a grab bar.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Lovely room. Breakfast was pathetic. No coffee after 9 am was ridiculous for the price. Recommended though if you are going to Massey Hall. Just a wee walk.
