There’s room for improvement at this iconic Mandarin Oriental hotel in Kuala Lumpur. I loved the spacious apartment-style room, but it could definitely benefit from updates and refurbishment to reflect a more modern aesthetic.
The guest services and location are truly outstanding. The breakfast buffet offers a generous selection of both international and local dishes, with plenty of variety to choose from.
During our stay, a large group event specifically an Indian group was in-house, which made the hotel feel a bit overwhelmed. Many facilities and common areas became overcrowded, affecting the overall experience and ambiance.
Mandarin Oriental is known for its exclusivity and catering to a high-end market, so I hope future stays will better reflect that standard.
