Perfect location just 10min from the main strip/centre which made it a quiet location. Super modern and clean and ended up being our most luxurious hotel that we stayed in during our holiday. Huge rooms and great bathroom too. Only 50m from a Lawson and 7Eleven too. Recommend staying here if you are visiting Kyoto.

Simply the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at. I just loved the lobby - it felt like the palace in Dune, so open and artistic and beautiful. The room was wonderful. There was also an iPad that easily controlled lights and AC and it was not clunky at all, rather super easy to use. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful. Can't say enough about Thousand Oaks and I will definitely return.

Quiet and big space for Japan

Room was spacious and clean, and receptionists were all very friendly. Love that they have washer & dryer for each room.

Very clean hotel and rooms. Older building. Staff was excellent! I would definitely stay there again. Close to train station, restaurants and other activities!

Room next to elevator bit noisy throughout night.

Our room had unbeatable views of the city, and we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The bar, however, was a little overpriced and the food there wasn’t as tasty. I’d still recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Loved that it was located right in Kyoto station with the station directly beneath our hotel floor, and we couldn’t hear or feel a single train! Best sleep in a while!
