"it was brilliant to stay in the wee hut. It was very charming, clean and cozy for myself and my better half. The owners were very helpful and friendly and gave us good local knowledge about good pubs and lovely walks to take. The optional breakfast was fantastic and they were able to accommodate to our dietary needs."
"Just a brilliant long weekend. Check in and check out could not have been easier. Loved our time in the lodge and all the facilities were fantastic. We will absolutely be staying again!"
"Stayed for two nights and had the most wonderful experience in this cosy hotel filled with history. Yes it's true it could use a lick of paint, but the amazing staff and very good restaurant make up for that bigtime. "

Lots to do for families. We went on the funicular railway up Cairngorm mountain and then the kids went tubing on a dry slope, which was also at the Cairngorms mountain centre.

Aviemore is nice enough. Not many places to go for a drink, and booking in advance for food seems to be a must. Getting the bus along to The Pine Marten Bar at Glenmore is highly recommended!! It's great that everywhere seems to be dog friendly.

Lots of cute little shops. Reminded me (A Canadian) of a smaller version of Canmore in the Rockies.

Only went into Aviemore to buy food for our onward travels,. It appears quite busy and maybe a little too commercialised for our tastes. Plenty of activities available in and around the area, but the nature, and scenery win out every time for us.

Ate dinner one night in the Old Bridge Inn which was very good. The next night we ate at Delaneys where we had a fabulous time - great food (sharing plates), good drinks/cocktail choice and exceptional staff.

"We stayed for 2 nights and had 2 rooms, the Sweeney 2 was in a perfect location, its clean, its tidy, its convenient, what else do you need. Delaynes Restaurant which is within the same building is beautiful, make sure you book though as it’s always busy "
"A comfortable B&B just a mile or so outside of Aviemore serves a great base for exploring the Cairngorms. The made-to-order breakfasts and the dinners were both outstanding. All the staff were friendly and helpful."
"Check in was easy you get a code sent for the front and room door, very well equipped with a small kitchen area with a fridge which when travelling with a dog was really useful for the food. Bed lovely and comfy with a small balcony area to sit out and as the weather was so good was perfect. Ample parking with a very short walk into Aviemore, plenty local shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants to choose from

"The apartment was spacious for the two of us, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had a good range of appliances and the lounge had comfortable seating."
