“Beautiful resort”

“We had an incredible stay here. The pools were beautiful and well kept. Food was good, of course pricier than local options but still fairly priced and fresh. The landscaping and grounds and boardwalk were a dream though. Amazing work they have done here. It has to be decades of tending and pruning. The property manager was able to help us with our tour plans as well. We found cave tubing and ziplining through her connection to be cheaper than booking online.”

“Absolutely loved this property! It's gorgeous and the staff is amazing! The rooms are spacious and honeymoon vibe. We went during the dry season which is the hottest so be prepared for the humidity and lots of stairs. If you are a light sleeper I recommend you being earplugs because the wild life dont care if youre sleep deprived. Food and drinks were so good and we definitely will be back!”

“Mariposa Jungle Lodge is the perfect place for a special occasion or weekend getaway. “We had a wonderful experience at the black rock lodge, the staff is amazing and you can feel how passionate they are about their work. The Tikal visit is a must. We had an amazing day on site with our guide Noel, we learnt so much about Mayan history and jungle fauna. We did also the hike to the summit and the night walk with the guide. Both great. “The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. “This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. I also rented a car from Rod, who was also super nice, so I had such a smooth experience getting from place to place.
