“We had reasonably high hopes of Greyfriars and, unusually in today's Britain, they exceeded them all. Our arrival was difficult, co-inciding as it did with some cycling event that denied us car access to the hotel. This was soon emolliated by the excellent reception staff and the sheer quality of the room and guest experience. The room was stunning. Clean, stylish and with a bathroom equipped with a double shower, large bath and top-quality fittings. Comfortable bed. Top quality accessories...

“A fun building dating at one end around 1600 and the other 2016. The Tudor bits are wobbly and pokey as you would expect. The modern bits, modern. Helpful staff and a kitchen that poached eggs nicely for breakfast. For a budget option, this is a good stay. ”

“The staff were absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble and they made my husband, granddaughter and dog very welcome. The Sunday morning breakfast was a bit chaotic. Very busy and the hot food was disappearing very quickly, so there was always a key item missing. The staff were doing their best though. Lots of ceiling cobwebs in the room!”

“It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee.”

“Great sea front property. The garden was a fabulous added bonus. The décor throughout was beautiful. Evening food was delicious! Only moan really, was our room was too hot despite the fan being on all night, and a delivery lorry parked right outside our bedroom window to roll off barrels etc (albeit 7.45am and not 5.00am) On the whole, this is a fantastic hotel, and I would stay again and recommend others to do the same.”

Julie was so helpful and a star; Claire served up a top-drawer breakfast made with high quality ingredients, cooked so well by the kitchen. “The White Hart is a lovely hotel and pub set in the charming village of Coggeshell. We stayed bed and breakfast for 2 nights. The manageress, Nicky, and her staff were welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean, inviting and quiet; the bed was especially comfortable, and we slept well both nights. We really enjoyed our breakfasts, there was lots of choice for both the continental style and the cooked breakfasts, the food was of good quality and plentiful. We can heartily recommend...
