“We had a cute ocean front cabana just 50 feet or so from the water. There were always empty lounge chairs and hammocks available to use. Restaurants with great food and sometimes entertainment were just a short walk by road or right along the beach. The hostess Arlene was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here for a relaxing time and opportunity to experience the local Garifuna culture.”

The sliding glass door on one-side was shattered, one of the bathroom windows was also broken, the left sliding glass door wouldn’t lock and or close ( eventually fixed) the sofa and comforter cover were both stained. “The property location is excellent but what makes this place so wonderful is its laid-back atmosphere and superb staff. Maria, Valerie and everyone at the resort make you feel at home. They do their best to meet your expectations with a friendly and caring attitude at all times. We loved our stay and look forward to returning in a few months.”

Breakfast was really good with different options, and included two different juice types that changed daily. Also coffee and ice water. “The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Fridge and coffee maker are available for guests....
