"I loved the historical nature of he property and the cozy room. The host was friendly and welcoming and his family was charming. I felt at ease in the space making it a much better experience than a chain hotel. The breakfasts were terrific!!"

"Room was quite small -night 2 -the fire alarm went off at 3am which necessitated the entire hotel to be vacated in 30 degree weather for a period of 40 min —super irritating but staff was nice —and I was pleased that when asked for a review was compensated $100 for the inconvenience "

"The staff and breakfast were excellent. For areas of improvement, the road sign needs a light to illuminate it at night and the plants around it need to be trimmed to improve visibility. The landscaping on the grounds and on the porch need upkeep and improvement. It would be helpful to add a write up or plaque about the history of the home as you enter."

"Remotely located on a beautiful lake a few miles from Cooperstown. Everything was very nice and clean. The staff was particularly attentive here, I would definitely recommend this lodge to friends and would stay here again."
