“Room was lovely, everything clean. Our room went out onto the garden at the back near the bar area which felt like you were in a little secret garden. Even though close to the bar there was no noise and everyone was very respectful. It has a lovely atmosphere here. Staff were all really lovely and very helpful couldn’t fault this place at all. Really good area just a short 30 minute walk into the centre.”

“조식 무료인점이 너무 좋고 요크중심가 위치도 좋다 새로 문연곳이라 깨끗하고 좋은데 청소가 최악. 먼지가 겹겹히 쌓여있고 컵 얼룩은 기본. 디스펜서에 컨디셔너. 로션도 비워있는데 룸청소후에도 채워지지 않음. 그리고 너~~~무 추움 난방 기본설정온도가 너무 낮다. 그래도 나머지가 좋아서 더러운건 못본척 지냈다. 요크가 아름다우니까!!”

“Clean and conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walking distance to the Shambles and York Minster. They offered fresh lemon and mint water upon entrance at the bar and the staff were all wonderful! And, it was nice to have the a/c even though the outside temperature wasn’t even much hotter than 75, even in mid-July. The beds, bedding and towels were as usual, wonderful.”

“The location is perfect for sightseeing in downtown York, and the breakfast is satisfactory, but the staff lack friendliness.”

“The rooms were nice & clean . It was in a good spot, short walk into the center. Friendly staff. The carpark was a nightmare to get into & out, very narrow entry through the building & had to pass a few obstacles getting in & out, (car & laundry cage) we actually scrapped our wheel trim getting out around a parked van outside when leaving otherwise it was a pleasant stay.”

“Helpful, friendly, professional staff. Good breakfast (but surprisingly no vegetarian sausages). Very convenient bus service into York close by. Quiet location. However bathroom VERY small (room 122). Booked a walk-in shower but actually had a six inch step up to it and no grab rails. Guests obviously using shower controls and screen to aid access as shower screen fixture becoming loose from ceiling. Size of bathroom meant anyone requiring a ‘helping hand’ but not needing fully accessible...
