"The hotel is in a great location between Bristol & Gloucester on A38. The 4 poster bed isn't like the photos, it has posts but no curtains around it. The room was lovely & spacious, very quiet. The staff were all friendly and a good choice of food at Breakfast. The food in the restaurant/bar is a little steep so we ate a big breakfast then ate out during the day/evening."

"We liked the old fashioned grandeur of the place although the halls and doors could probably do with a spruce up. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable with tea and biscuits. The restaurant and bar looked quite nice but we didn’t use them. We thought the breakfast was a bit expensive at almost £40 for two so got some half price locally. We also had to pay £10 for parking nearby. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful though. All in all we had a nice stay."
