"Pompano is a good value for a family. Beautiful but basic beach, pool, and hot tubs. Lobby, lounge/bar, game room, and gym were serviceable. The food was very good for the price of the meal plan. That said, there are some rough edges to the resort and many things need updating/repair. I would still recommend Pompano, especially for a family."

"I'm a pretty patient and tolerant person and usually a big fan of the Fairmont, but this was probably the most disappointing stay I've ever experienced. The room we got looked nothing like the room I thought I booked online. It was clean but definitely needed an update. Ok so the hotel isn't fully renovated. I get it. I also get that the service might be a little slow since it's offseason, but I didn't expect to wait an hour from the time we put in a lunch order to the time it got delivered...

"A 25-minute drive from the airport, the resort is very modern with an excellent view of the ocean and surrounding property. The room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was very good, and the service was excellent. That said, there are a few things to point out if you are planning a trip. One part of the resort is under construction, and although the work was quiet, it was unsightly. Second, the resort is fairly isolated, so you have to eat at the one restaurant unless you taxi everywhere. You really can't walk to anything other than one local restaurant -- not entirely unusual for Bermuda. Finally, although the beach is beautiful, the walk from the rooms to the beach is a major climb up and down! The resort really needs to provide some sort of transportation or elevator because unless you are under 30 and in great physical shape, prepare to be exhausted every time you go to the beach. Also, the ocean is very rough and not good for swimming, but there are three pools that are very nice. Overall, it's a quiet, beautiful place, but just be prepared to taxi everywhere unless you rent a car, and don't expect the resort to be interactive or provide activities."
