“We had a few problems at the beginning - two lamps in the room not working. not easily solved with a receptionist who was pleasant, but didn't speak English. But Jack the Manager did his best to help and sort things out. It didn't help that we were staying over the hottest June day on record and our room was like an oven! “We loved staying here between our visit to Oxford and Bath. The house was very comfortable and gave us the feel for the Cotswolds even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was hospitable. The price of our May stay was extremely affordable and we feel we got our money’s worth by far. We just loved this place!!”

“Pub fine food ok, accommodation poor. Mattress needs replacing. Bathroom/toilet down the hall. Cheep but not too cheerful.”

“This guest house is in a very good location with easy access to the city by bus or a 25 minute walk. Our beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast was a very basic continental one. Tea was made using hot water from a thermos flask which was not pleasant. There is limited on street parking.”
