“Bit of a mixed bag. Our room was upgraded on arrival, which was a good start, but then told that anyone who doesn't book directly from their website has to pay £15 per person per day to use the spa. I guess this is their way of making back the price difference. Room was great. Dinner wasn't enjoyable, I would suggest avoiding the restaurant other than for breakfast. Food wasn't up to scratch, white wine brought out warm after a long wait, and surly service from one particular member of staff....

“Lovely property, very spacious double bedroom with jacuzzi bath. The bath filters needed cleaning as left some residue in the bath when turned on and the blind on the door was broken, but it was shut so that wasn’t terrible and neither detracted from our stay. Loved the room. Very clean and spacious. No smart tv so couldn’t watch Netflix or Disney. The only thing that lets the place down is the breakfast. My husband didn’t like his salmon and scrambled eggs on toast- said the toast wasn’t great...

“Polite staff, good service and knowledgeable of the area. Property could do with some general attention, as it looks tired. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was also very good, with a good selection. Would definitely recommend to others”

“It was such a fun experience staying in this historic Inn! The decor maintained the historical feel, and it was a fun place to stay while visiting Glastonbury. We were able to walk everywhere (including to the top of the Tor - which seemed dauting but was not that bad!) For vegetarians - we had a great plant based burger for dinner at the restaurant, and the English Breakfast included in the morning was a very hearty way to start the day. “I was on a Lands End to John O'Groat cycle trip, and this hotel was an excellent stopover point. It was not too far off the National Cycle route. Friendly and helpful staff, a fine breakfast and comfortable bed. Hotel provided safe and secure storage for my bike. ”

“We were catching up with friends and family in Yeovil. We hadn't been to Yeovil for about 10 years and didn't recognise the town. Lots of renovation going on which will make it more modern. Even the weather was good .We wont leave it that long next time .”
