"This is a superb hotel situated in the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt. We used the S Bahn to get out to the Olympic Stadium and Airport but other than that we walked everywhere. The hotel is beautifully presented (we loved the Prussian Blue theme!) and our fifth floor room had a lovely balcony and one of the best hotel showers we've ever come across! The staff were extrmemely helpful and polite. "

The location is convenient as it's relatively close to public transit and a bit over 1 km from the main railway station, Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Staff is courteous, but note that the front desk is not staffed full time. "Check-in was confusing. We got there at night and the office was closed. We could not figure out how to get in and luckily a security guard who was inside the office saw us and came outside. He said we should have a number via email for the lockbox, which we did not. Luckily, he had a list of everyone that was checking in that night and he found me and was able to help me get into the lockbox and get everything that I needed to enter the apartment. The place was as described and it central. It was directly behind the Hotel Adlon Kempinski. The Bradenburg gate was nearby as was the previous Gestapo station, and the Jewish memorial. The location could not be beat for being in central Berlin and sightseeing!"
