"Our stay at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel was excellent. The room was large by Tokyo standards, very comfortable, and had a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. With the exception of one server in the on-site Chinese restaurant, the staff were very helpful and extremely friendly (especially in the on-site sushi restaurant). The breakfast was amazing -- a great assortment of fresh fruit, pastries and breads, sushi, dumplings, omelets, and other hot and cold food items; it was one of the best that we have had anywhere in the world. The one downside to the hotel is its location. This is primarily a business hotel, and the number of nearby restaurants and shops is small; we ended up walking at least 15 minutes or taking the metro to dinner most nights. The hotel is adjacent to an entrance of a metro station, but it is a long walk from the entrance to the trains and involves several flights of stairs -- it would be impossible with a lot of luggage. Overall, however, it is a very quiet and comfortable place to stay for several days, and has an outstanding breakfast."
