Reasonable facilities … no staff on site but communication via message was efficient! Location walkable but again limited parking. Only 4 spots for 10 rooms even though the add says parking on site.
Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two.

Acco guesthouse is a great walkable distance from a handful of dining options and shopping. The room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds were large and comfortable.
The bathroom however, was quite tight. The shower ledge takes up a lot of room even though the shower is very small. The ledge also had a decent size chunk out of it which was a big hazard when we had just woken up in the morning and weren’t used to our surroundings.
Room was small but adequate. Bathroom had multiple broken tiles in the shower, a tiny sink and minimal water pressure. Towels were very thin. Beds were comfortable.

good location near the church. Liked the clean room, but parking is nighmare. Only 4 are available for 10 rooms. street parking is only options for the weekdays with parking fee. Weekend is fine. We had a shower issue but property manager responses were bit annoying.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
The property is unclean and poorly kept. When I got out of the car, the first thing I noticed was a foul odor emanating from the house bins, which had remained full since my arrival till I departed two days later. There were flies both inside and outside the house. The scent in the house is awful. A combination of unclean and strong culinary odors. The room was filthy, and I have pictures to prove it. The advantage is that the guest house is conveniently located.
The room was in bad shape, there was a bad smell in the room and overall in the hole building. The coloured bedsheets were in terrible shape, they smelled bad and looked as if they weren't washed at all. Couldn't wait for the stay to be over, will never stay there again.
The place is worn down and outdated. The posted pictures must be taken from many years ago. They don't match with the actual conditions. The bathroom is very old and the water can splashed all over. The kitchen on the 1st floor is also very outdated. I wouldn't recommend it.
Our room was ok. The bathroom was old and appeared dirty, the entire bathroom holds condensation and becomes wet due to no circulation. The shower was missing the drain cover, luckily we had flip flops and wore them during showering.
The linens were very dated, with sheets piling and not staying on, the desk chair was dirty.
No staff at this location
The only good thing about this place was location. The beds were rock hard spring mattresses older than my grandmother! There was obviously an active leak in the room above that’s been leaking long enough to have formations on the ceiling that are dripping onto the floor. The towels were old and ratty looking. Holes in the sheets and a burnt mark on the wall.
The first night someone was in the kitchen banging cabinet doors at 1:45am. Speaking of kitchen, it’s poorly stocked. Not even a spatula to cook with. It’s small and not what the pictures look like. All the pics are either old or used AI. Trying to cook in the kitchen was nearly impossible because there were large families just gathering in them and you couldn’t get to the fridge or stove. There was no other common gathering space. The lawn needed mowed. Grass up to my waist. No parking available because there’s only 4 spaces for 8 rooms. You have to park and walk miles or Kilometers with your luggage.
Oh and the shower! You had 2 square feet of space with a filthy wet shower curtain attacking you will trying to wash. So much for feeling clean.
No host on site and they do not respond to messages. Will never stay here again and do not recommend.

Smaller hostel style accommodations. Limited parking on-site and ended up having to park down the street overnight.
Just a 10 minute walk to the buzzing downtown. The guesthouse was clean and tidy and though we weren’t in Akureyri long, we appreciated staying In a walkable location with coffee in the morning.
It was quite nice. However we were in the basement rooms, which is a bit uncomfortable. The biggest problem is that there were no shadow curtains, so the sun came into the room in the morning.
The hostel was well organized and accessible. Room and bathroom were very clean, but bed sheets smelled bad, it was a bit disappointing. Easy parking in front of the property. The city is very nice and very close to the hostel.
