We found it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as approached from the train station. There is extensive work being done on the the buildings and no signs or directions, and no notification from either the hotel or Expedia to alert us to this.
The room itself was good on the whole, but it boasted soundproofing and this was most certainly not the case. We were disturbed by noise throughout the evening and in the night. The view of the sea was somewhat obstructed by deep walls either side of the balcony, which would not have been a problem if I had known about it at time of booking, but the view offered when booking offered a different perspective.
The decaf coffee was horrible.
I am only this picky because of the promise of the place and the fact that it was pretty expensive. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, facilities varied and food was okay. It was clean and the toiletries were very nice. The free trial size toiletry gifts were welcome.
