“Erik and the rest of the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We felt at home and yet also felt like valued guests. Breakfast was vast and delicious. Our rooms were gorgeous and oversized. The location is convenient to see all of the beautiful historic center of Altamura. I had stayed here 20 years ago and had fond memories, I was not disappointed and hope to return much more quickly the next time!”

“This place is a jewel in Altamura! Rooms are brand new with everything you might need and spacious. They have an AMAZING SPA. We booked it for an hour and 15 minutes and cannot say enough good things about it. You are by yourself and they have sauna, steam, jacuzzi and more. The showers of hot and cold water are u ique. Strongly recommend this place! ”

“The hotel is like an old castle remodeled and in very good condition, AC works great. Rooms are big and has an elevator. In general it was a great, one night stay and there are several good dining options nearby. The breakfast is limited and you have to ask for eggs, which are served boiled and cold, but that is typical for that area in most hotels. ”

“This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet. ”
